Untitled / Paper Objects (2018)
In this series form, proximity and gesture is explored. Made on a relatively small scale, these folded pieces of paper range from 1.5” x 3.5” to 4.5” x 4.5”, with the exception of the image on the top right, which measures 18” x 24”., Through articulation of scale and proximity the viewer is drawn in to explore paper-folding, shadow-casting, texture and gesture.
Sketchbooks and Notebooks
The upkeep of sketchbooks and journals is an essential part of my visual art practice. Though I don’t consider myself an artist who works in 2D, drawing and writing are necessary modes of experimentation that I engage with daily.
Many of the images in this photoset can be seen in future iterations in my “printmaking” section.
